As you may have noticed, I have posted to the blog in a while. I'm remedying that now with a wedding post! I had the privilege to meet Justin and Sarah last autumn when I took their engagement photos. We hit it off, and I was thrilled when they asked me to take photos of their wedding. They are an easy-going couple and this was true of their family and friends as well. The ceremony was beautiful, the lighting was a unique challenge, and the reception was a ton of fun. I've included a brief slideshow of a few images in this post, but if you're looking for the full website album, follow this link: Justin & Sarah
As I already stated, the lighting was a challenge. This is both because we shot everything indoors (it was too hot to be outside for any length of time in formal gowns and suits) and because the couple chose to stand under a chuppah for the ceremony. We strung lights underneath the canopy portion of the chuppah to ensure the bride, groom, and pastor could all be seen. That worked fairly well. Then, to compensate for being inside, we took most of our photos beside some walls of windows. This gave a dramatic flair to the images that I really love.
While I have a lot I could say about this wedding, I think I'll let my pictures speak for themselves while I get back to editing photos from some other weddings/sessions. Enjoy!
